Youth Ministry
At North United Methodist Church, we believe kids and teens aren’t just “the future church” – they’re a vital part of the church right now. Our youth and children’s ministries are designed to be safe, Christ-centered, and joy-filled, helping young people discover God’s love, build real friendships, and grow in faith.

For Every Age and Stage
Active Nursery (Infants - Pre-K)
A warm, nurturing space where your little ones are cared for while you worship. Our volunteers are experienced, loving, and attentive, so you can relax and focus on the service.
Sunday School Classes -
Children & Youth
Age-appropriate Bible teaching that makes Scripture come alive. Kids and teens learn about God’s story, ask honest questions, and explore how faith connects to everyday life
Junior Choir
Young voices lifting up praise! Our Junior Choir and Youth Praise Team help children and teens grow in confidence as they learn to worship through music and lead the congregation in song.
Liturgical Dance Ministry
A creative outlet for kids and youth who love to move. They learn to worship God through dance, offering powerful visual praise during special services and events.
Confirmation Classes
For middle and high school students ready to go deeper. Confirmation explores what it means to follow Jesus, understand Methodist beliefs, and make a personal commitment of faith.
Youth Group (Middle School & High School)
A place where teens can be themselves, build friendships, and talk about real-life issues from a faith perspective. Expect games, discussion, service projects, and lots of laughter.

Seasonal & Special Programs
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
A high-energy week of Bible stories, music, crafts, and games. VBS is a highlight of our year and a great “first step” for kids who are new to church.
Children's Christmas Party
Cookies, crafts, music, and the story of Jesus’ birth, shared at a level appropriate for children and youth. It’s a fun and memorable way to celebrate the season with your family.
Easter Egg Hunt
A joyful community event with eggs, prizes, and a kid-friendly message about the hope of the Resurrection.
Backpack Giveaway
Before school starts, we bless students with backpacks and supplies, praying over them for a safe, successful school year.
Soccer Skills Camp
Kids and youth learn fundamentals and sharpen their soccer skills in a positive, encouraging environment—while also learning about teamwork, character, and faith.
Cooking Classes
Hands-on cooking experiences that teach practical skills, creativity in the kitchen, and how we can serve others through hospitality and shared meals.
Steel Pan Orchestra Lessons
A unique opportunity for children and youth to learn steel pan (steel drum) in a group setting. Students grow musically while celebrating culture, rhythm, and community.
